ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA- • The age of applicant must not be more than 23 years as on 1st October of the year of application
• Candidate must have completed 10+2 pattern of exam from a recognized board of education from any Indian or foreign university.

2. BACHELORS OF FASHION TECHNOLOGY (B. FTECH)

B. FTECH program in apparel production is the most desirable for the tech – savvy plus creative individuals.

DURATION - Four Years
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA• The age of applicant must not be more than 23 years as on 1st October of the year of application
• Candidate must have completed 10+2 pattern of exam from a recognized board of education from any Indian or foreign university with particularly physics, chemistry and math as the core subjects in 12th standard.

3. MASTERS OF DESIGN (M. DES)

The post graduation program exposes the candidate to research sphere for the specializations like fashion design, fashion communication, product design etc.
DURATION - Two Years
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA- Candidate must be graduate with a degree from any recognized university OR Candidate must be a diploma holder in undergraduate design from NIFT or NID.

4. MASTERS OF FASHION TECHNOLOGY (M.FTECH)

The post graduation program in garment manufacturing technology (GMT) enhances the candidates’ skill in technical sector of fashion technology, fashion production and merchandising.
DURATION - Two Years.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA - Candidate must be either a graduate in B. Ftech from NIFT or B.tech from any other university.

5. MASTERS OF FASHION MANAGEMENT (MFM)

The post graduation program trails in the management sectors of fashion marketing, retailing, merchandising, communication, import- export etc.
DURATION - Two Years
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA- Candidate should be a graduate from any recognized university or undergraduate diploma holder from NIFT or NID.

NIFT ENTRANCE EXAM

Getting admission in such a prestigious institute is not a cake walk. The entrance exam conducted by NIFT in two stages has to be conquered with a good score.

The NIFT exam consists of the following sections:-

1) General ability test (GAT) – This test assesses the candidates

And contributes the following significant weight age of marks for different courses:

2) Creative ability test (CAT)- this test judges the candidates

3) Situation Test-

This is an undergraduate level test. Those candidates who qualify CAT and GAT are summoned for situation test. A 3D model is to be constructed using the provided raw material like modeling clay, sticks, colorful papers etc. and this has to be submitted along with an extract explaining the composition.
This test is only for B.DES applicants and contributes 20% of the score.

4) Group discussion/ personal interview-

This round is only for post graduation exam appearing candidates. This session evaluates a candidate on the basis of -

• Leadership Quality
• Communication Skills
• Convincing Skills
• Decision-making Ability

The contribution of marks is 30% for all the postgraduate level exams.
