What is NID?
NID(National Institute of Design) is one of the best design and research Institute for Communication, Industrial, Textile and IT Integrated (Experiential) Design. NID is situated in Ahmedabad, Gujarat and is an Institute of National Importance under Government of India.
How to Get in?
NID entrance exam is known as DAT(Design Aptitude Test) and is one of the most reputed entrance for design aspirants in India. There is no specified syllabus for NID entrance test.
NID entrance exam pattern varies year to year drastically. Design Aptitude Test (DAT) comprises of 2 parts, the first is a written exam and second is a Studio Test.
NID Admission Eligibility:
Course: U.G. (Bachelor of Design)
Students aiming for B.Design programmes must fulfill given NID eligibility criteria:
1. Age Limit
The candidate must not be more than 20 years of age (3 years relaxation for reserved categories)
2. Educational Background
Applicants must have passed or is appearing for the qualifying examinations under the higher secondary (10+2) from a recognized Board of Education or equivalents, during that academic year.
NID Coaching
NID entrance exam coaching comprises preparation for both written NID entrance exam paper and studio test of NID entrance, coaching pattern is derived on the basis of previous NID exam pattern.
In coaching for NID entrance we focus on both these exams .For the written test we prepare students for both visual and textual typologies of questions. We focus on enhancing student’s aptitude for solving Design Problems, enhancing visual Sense, sense of observation, knowledge of perspective drawing, Mental Ability and Communication Skills.
For the studio test we focus on 3D Modeling and Observation skills of students. We guide them to create best possible model out of their ideas. Studio Test is followed by Personal Interview and Portfolio Presentation which are also covered in this NID coaching programme.
Classroom programms for coaching of NID,NIFT and other fashion designing and designing entrances are such:
